Bhutan: Mountain Walks & Valleys — 7 Days

Dochula Pass, Kila Goenpa, and Tiger's Nest Monastery on day hikes with returns to hotel comfort

This seven-day itinerary centers on day-length mountain walks in Bhutan—hikes of three to four hours one way that ascend through pine forest to high ridges and pass overlooks, followed by return to a hotel each evening. The route moves between three regions: Thimphu, the Haa Valley, and Paro, with two rest days built in. There are no multi-day treks or backcountry camps; each walk stands alone, and each night is spent in town. The walks themselves are moderate in gradient and pacing; the draw is the return to lower elevation and a comfortable bed, combined with exposure to Bhutan's geography and monasteries without the commitment of a longer expedition.

Best time to go: April - May Sept - OCt
