This eight-day route traces Hainan's interior and coastline by bicycle, moving east to west across the island's tropical terrain. Beginning in Qionghai, the journey passes through the Xinglong Botanical Gardens, penetrates Li minority villages in the island's central highlands, and concludes with coastal riding into Sanya. Each day includes a support vehicle, and overnight stays feature hot spring pools. The pace alternates between riding days and rest days, with one segment spanning 35 kilometers. This is a self-paced introduction to cycling in a tropical climate rather than a technical mountain-biking expedition.

Arrive in Haikou and transfer by vehicle to Qionghai, where you will be assigned a 27-speed mountain bike equipped with bag, bar extender, and rack. After a safety briefing, a short warm-up ride follows country roads to your hotel, a four-star property with a hot spring pool. The day introduces the bike and the tropical climate without demanding distance. The evening includes a welcome dinner and the option to swim in the hotel's thermal waters.

After a short transfer, you cycle toward Xinglong on country roads through tropical farmland, passing through village sites and the Xinglong Botanical Gardens and coffee factory around midday. The gardens contain one of Hainan's largest horticultural collections; the coffee factory documents the region's agricultural history. Overnight is at a four-star hot spring hotel. Swimming, meals, and support vehicle coverage including water stops are included throughout the day.

A coach transfers you approximately 35 kilometers to the day's cycling starting point. From there, you ride back roads into Li minority areas, passing through inhabited villages and rural terrain on moderate grades. Another riding day on back roads deeper into Li minority regions. You visit a museum documenting Li history and culture before continuing by bicycle to Ledong, another ethnic Li minority town. The route combines cultural stops with cycling through inhabited areas on rural roads. Overnight accommodation and meals are included; the support vehicle remains in attendance.

The route transitions to coastal roads as you cycle toward Sanya, riding south-facing shoreline roads with ocean views. After the ride, a vehicle transfer of approximately one hour delivers you to a Holiday Inn at Sanya Bay. Evening includes a beach walk and access to the hotel pool. Breakfast and lunch are provided.

A short morning cycle traces beach-adjacent roads into Sanya, completing the riding portion of the tour. The afternoon allows for beach time and relaxation. Accommodation remains at Sanya Bay; the hotel pool and beachfront remain accessible. Only breakfast is included on this day, allowing flexibility for independent meal choices in Sanya.
8Departure from SanyaSanya Airport
The tour concludes after breakfast at the hotel. You arrange your own transportation to Sanya Airport for your onward flight.
