Delhi to Udaipur through Rajasthan's royal cities and a tiger safari in Ranthambore National Park
This 12-day itinerary moves across North India's major historical sites and into Rajasthan's desert kingdoms, anchored by two days of jungle safari in Ranthambore National Park. The route begins in Delhi, where monuments from the Mughal and British periods stand within the modern capital. From there, the itinerary moves south to Agra for the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, then inland to Jaipur—the walled "pink city"—where the Amber Fort and City Palace remain functional royal residences. The central arc of the trip shifts east to Ranthambore, a tiger reserve where morning and evening safaris offer the possibility of sighting Bengal tigers in their natural habitat. From Ranthambore, the route continues west through Chittorgarh Fort—a massive hilltop stronghold—and concludes in Udaipur, a lakeside city built around the City Palace and temple clusters reflected in Pichola Lake.
