Laos to Halong Bay: Rivers, Caves & Limestone Seascape — 15 Days

Cycle and boat through Nam Ou villages and Nam Et-Phou Loey National Park, cross into Vietnam via Pu Luong, traverse Cuc Phuong, and cruise Halong Bay's karst landscape.

This 15-day route moves overland from Luang Prabang through remote Lao villages, via river boat and mountain cycling, to the border and into Vietnam's northern karst regions. The first week emphasizes human-scale travel—boat rides on the Nam Ou, overnight stays in village-edge lodges, a nocturnal wildlife expedition in Nam Et-Phou Loey National Park, and guided hikes to 100 Waterfalls. Days 8–11 shift the geography westward into Vietnam: Pu Luong's rice terraces and bamboo rafting, Cuc Phuong National Park's primate centre and canopied forest trails, and Tam Coc's limestone karsts. The final four days are spent aboard an overnight cruise through Halong Bay, with days spent exploring caves, floating villages, and limestone islands. All sightseeing, bike rental, English-speaking guides, and meals as noted are included; international flights and visas are separate.
