Nikko & Oze: Shrine, Summit & Hot Spring — 3 Days

This route moves through three distinct zones of the Nikko region. Day one centers on Nikko Toshogu, a UNESCO-listed shrine complex that completed its Heisei major repairs, the first in around 40 years. The second day shifts to a hike into Ozegahara Marsh, with overnight accommodation at a mountain hut. The third day descends to Okunikko Yumoto Onsen for thermal bathing, then moves into the Kinugawa zone, where travelers can visit theme parks or tour the Shimoimaichi steam locomotive depot — a working turntable and vintage rail collection. Two nights of accommodation include one in a mountain hut and one at a hot spring inn.
