Northern Luzon: Mountain Villages, Rice Terraces & Cave Systems — 6 Days

Trekking from Baguio to Batad through Sagada's limestone formations and Banaue's rice terraces

This six-day journey into North Luzon's mountain interior moves through three distinct regions: the city of Baguio, the Cordillera villages of Sagada and Bontoc, and the Ifugao rice terraces around Banaue and Batad. The itinerary combines daily trekking (Sumaging Cave, Hapao terraces, Tappia Falls) with stays in local guesthouses and homestays, moving progressively deeper into agricultural and cultural terrain. The pacing alternates between morning walks through farming villages and afternoons in towns where traditional weaving, burial practices, and local markets remain central to daily life. A guide accompanies most days; private jeepney transfers connect the larger towns, while local transport moves trekkers between jump-off points and trailheads.
