Pangarchulla Peak Trek — 6 Days, Uttarakhand

High-altitude climbing from Auli meadows to 4,700-meter summit, with views of Nanda Devi and Himalayan major peaks

The Pangarchulla Peak Trek is a six-day climbing expedition in the Uttarakhand Himalayas, centered on a 4,700-meter ascent that sits on the trekking networks running from Auli toward Kuari Pass. The route begins at the ski slopes of Auli (2,450 meters), moves through mixed forest and high meadows, reaches Kuari Pass (3,650 meters), and culminates in a summit climb with views extending across the central Himalayan spine—Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kamet (25,446 feet), Mana Peak (23,858 feet), and a sequence of peaks visible for 360 degrees from the ridgeline. Snow lies on the upper reaches through May; April to May and winter months offer the most stable climbing conditions. The physical demand varies with season—early season snow can demand technical footwork, while late-season rock scrambles require different pacing. The trek serves as a natural stepping stone for trekkers looking to build experience before attempting higher or more technical routes elsewhere in the range.
