Rajasthan: Fort, Village & Lake — 13 Days

Delhi to Jaipur via painted havelis, Khimsar dunes, horse safaris, and rural heritage stays

This 13-day circuit moves through Rajasthan's rural heartland, staying in heritage properties that anchor each leg: the painted havelis of Mandawa; Khimsar Fort and its surrounding Bishnoi villages; Rohet Garh and its horse-country setting; Rawla Narlai at the base of the Aravallis; Deogarh Mahal with its railway heritage; and Udaipur's lakeside palaces before returning to Delhi via Jaipur. Days center on activities embedded in village life—camel and jeep safaris, stepwell dinners, interactions with local craft workers, folk music gatherings, and meals prepared by village families. The route covers roughly 260 kilometers from Delhi to Mandawa, then fans south and west through smaller settlements before converging on Udaipur (a regional cultural anchor), then northeast to Jaipur and back to Delhi. Accommodation is in converted forts, havelis, and heritage hotels rather than urban resort chains, and English-speaking guides are provided throughout.
