South Korea by Road Bike: Seoul to Jeju via Mountain Pass and Coastal Route — 14 Days

Seoul to Jeju Island over 14 days, 10 cycling days across the mainland and the island

This 14-day itinerary covers South Korea by bicycle, beginning in Seoul and ending on Jeju Island. The route follows established bike paths and regional roads across the mainland and Jeju Island, with 10 active cycling days. Riders experience varied terrain: flat Han River paths in the opening days, progressively steeper climbs through Chungcheong and into the Taebak Mountains, then coastal descents on Jeju's circumferential route. Accommodation ranges from hot-spring lodges and traditional hanok houses to modern hotels. The itinerary includes entry to Andong Hahoe Village (UNESCO World Heritage site), Cheongsong UNESCO Global Geopark, and Jeju's volcanic formations. A KTX train connection links Gyeongju to Busan, followed by a domestic flight to Jeju; a support vehicle accompanies riders throughout. This structure suits intermediate to advanced cyclists comfortable with multi-day touring and sustained climbing.
