Sri Lanka: Coast, Village & Park — 14 Days

Sigiriya, Anamaduwa villages, and Passikudah beach, with safari and farm-based cultural activities

This 14-day itinerary moves across three distinct regions of Sri Lanka: the northwest coastal lowlands and agricultural villages around Anamaduwa, the central cultural triangle anchored by Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the east coast at Passikudah, and the south-central wildlife zone near Wellawaya. The trip combines moderate activity — cycling in village terrain, 4x4 jeep travel, catamaran sailing, and safari drives — with stays in small-scale properties: an eco-lodge in farmland, a heritage hotel near the rock fortress, a beachfront resort, and a farm-based rural accommodation. Days alternate between active outings and rest periods, with structured participation in local practices: cooking demonstrations, fishing from traditional canoes, vegetable foraging, and farm work. Throughout, travel is by air-conditioned vehicle with English-speaking drivers, and meals are included at each property.
