Sri Lanka: Kalpitiya, Wilpattu & the Southern Coast — 10 Days

Dolphin and whale watching on the Indian Ocean, followed by safari game drives in Sri Lanka's largest national park, with coastal rest days on the Negombo lagoon

This ten-day itinerary divides between the northern Kalpitiya Peninsula, where spinner dolphins and sperm whales congregate in accessible numbers, and Wilpattu National Park, the country's oldest protected reserve. Four days of unscheduled time at the coastal resort balance the structured wildlife activities — two days of marine watching from Kalpitiya, two full game-drive days within Wilpattu's dry-zone jungle and wetland system. The route moves south to the Negombo lagoon for the final night before departure. All transfers are by private air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking driver-guide; accommodation ranges from a beachfront resort to an all-inclusive safari camp.
