Sri Lanka's South Coast & Wilderness — 3 Days
Whale watching, Yala safari, and colonial history from Mirissa to Galle
This three-day itinerary moves through Sri Lanka's southern coastal and inland regions, beginning in Mirissa with whale and dolphin watching in the Indian Ocean. The route then turns inland toward Yala National Park for morning and afternoon safaris tracking leopards, elephants, and resident birds across dry-zone scrubland. The final day combines a morning wildlife drive with a transfer to Galle Fort, the Portuguese-built and Dutch-occupied coastal fortress that anchors the island's maritime history. Accommodation alternates between beachside hotels and park lodges; all transfers are by private air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking driver-guide.
