Sri Lanka: Sigiriya, Kandy & Yala — 17 Days

Rock fortress, tea estates, and national parks across the island's cultural heartland and southern coast, December to February

This 17-day itinerary moves across Sri Lanka's central highlands and southern regions, anchoring on Sigiriya's 5th-century rock fortress, Kandy's position as the island's cultural centre, and two major national parks. The route includes trekking in the Knuckles Mountains, white-water rafting on the Kelani River, multi-day safari driving in Yala National Park, and guided walks through Sinharaja rainforest. Accommodation ranges from colonial-era hotels to safari camps and eco-lodges; transfers are by private vehicle with English-speaking drivers. The itinerary assumes moderate activity tolerance and distributes active days among rest and observation periods. Winter months (December–February) offer stable weather across most regions, though the south coast receives occasional rain.
