Trishuli River Rafting — Nepal — 1 Day
Four-hour run from Fishling to Mugling on Class III–IV rapids
The Trishuli River, one of Nepal's primary rafting corridors, delivers a full-day run of intermediate whitewater between Fishling and Mugling — approximately 4 hours of paddling across Class III and IV rapids. The river cuts through foothills terrain marked by boulders, forested banks, and sections of open water suitable for swimmers and less experienced paddlers to find rhythm alongside more technical sections. Safety briefings and trained guides frame the progression, and the logistics—transport from Kathmandu, meal service on a riverbank beach, and onward connection to Pokhara or Chitwan—keep the experience contained within a single day.
Highlights

- Guided whitewater navigation with trained rafting crew and full safety equipment
- Riverbank lunch break on a sandy beach between paddle sections

Transport from Kathmandu begins in the early morning, covering approximately 3–4 hours of road to the put-in point at Fishling. Before entering the water, a comprehensive safety briefing covers equipment use, river navigation, and emergency protocol. The rafting guide and crew accompany the group throughout. The paddle itself covers roughly 4 hours downstream to Mugling, passing through Class III and IV rapids interspersed with calmer sections bordered by forest, rocky outcrops, and occasional open beaches. A lunch break takes place partway through on the riverbank. Upon reaching Mugling, participants can either return directly to Kathmandu or continue onward to Pokhara or Royal Chitwan National Park.
